some like it hot! (in chicago) is a division of spring wellnes center dedicated
to bringing  a variety of heated classes to Chicago in a beautiful, relaxing space.

how we got started...

Chicago is a city well known for its blustery attitude...and weather!  After over 15 years of
residing in Chicago, instead of continuing to fight  a losing battle, Gizel and Alex decided that it was time to create a getaway for their clients, neighbors, community and friends. When their dream of expanding their Pilates studio into a full blown wellness center became a reality, they decided to create a specialized line of classes specifically for those who wanted to add a bit of warmth to their workouts.

come in, it's cold outside!

Imagine: A typical grey, cold Chicago day. You want to workout, however,  it's just too darn cold and your muscles ache just thinking about heading to the gym, where they never seem to turn up the heat, despite the freezing weather outside.  Where do you go? To yet another typical hot yoga studio? Maybe today is not quite a yoga day, that was yesterday. Today is a day to work your core...or to stretch...or to do both. Or maybe you do want to practice yoga today, but a different style than yesterday. At Spring Wellness Center, we offer hot yoga in a variety of styles from hatha, to vinyasa, core vinyasa, forrest to ashtanga! In addition to yoga, Spring also offers hot Pilates, hot Pilates/Yoga fusion and hot Gentle Stretch.

When you walk into Spring's luxurious and inviting studio, you will be enveloped by a beautiful, relaxing warmth and your muscles will begin to relax immediately upon entering. Your workout will become more joyful as your body no longer tenses during the movements and poses, especially at the beginning of class. A little oasis for you to retreat to when the nights become longer and the weather turns colder

Practicing in a heated environment is so rewarding, for the mind, body and soul. The most obvious is that your muscles, tendons and ligaments relax, allowing you to stretch them deeper than normally possible. Toxins are also released as you sweat and your digestive and circulatory system are also cleansed. Practicing in the heat is also known to boost metabolism! What a great way to begin, end, or every moment in between, your day.
